Non-Refundable Drive Test Fees
We kindly ask all clients to note that drive test fees are non-refundable once your appointment has been booked with VicRoads.
Drive test appointments with VicRoads are typically scheduled 5–8 weeks in advance.
Once booked, your time slot, instructor, and vehicle are fully committed to your appointment.
Our instructor and vehicle are reserved for your booking and cannot be reassigned at short notice.
It is often not possible to fill a cancelled slot with another client on short notice.
Drive test appointments with VicRoads are usually booked 5–8 weeks in advance. Once your test is scheduled, that time slot is reserved exclusively for you, and our instructor and vehicle are committed to your booking.
Because of this, it is often not possible for us to fill the slot with another client at short notice or take additional bookings. For this reason, drive test fees are non-refundable.
We truly appreciate your understanding and encourage you to contact us as early as possible if you need to discuss your booking, reschedule, or have any concerns. The earlier you reach out, the more we can assist you.
- All lesson and package prices exclude VicRoads fees (e.g. drive test booking fees, licence application fees).
- All lessons must be paid in advance unless a prior written arrangement has been made.
- Driving lesson packs have a 6-month validity from purchase. Unused lessons after this period are forfeited unless an extension is agreed in writing.
- Students must hold a valid Victorian Learner Permit (or eligible overseas licence) at the time of each lesson.
- Students must be on time. Lessons starting late due to the student's delay will not be extended beyond the booked duration.
- Free pickup is included within agreed service areas. Travel outside this area may attract an additional charge confirmed at booking.
- Receiving a driving licence is not guaranteed. Instructor approval is required before a test package can be redeemed.
Cancellation Policy
✅ 48+ Hours Notice
No charge. The lesson credit is returned to your account in full.
❌ Under 48 Hours
Full lesson fee is forfeited unless exceptional circumstances apply (at the School's sole discretion).
🚫 No-Shows
Treated as a late cancellation. Full lesson fee is forfeited with no credit issued.
🔄 Instructor Cancellation
Emergency, illness or unsafe conditions — rescheduled at no cost to the student.
Refund Policy
- Refunds for unused lesson credits are available within 30 days of purchase, subject to a $20 administration fee.
- Payment processing surcharges (Stripe / credit card fees) will not be refunded as these are charged by the payment provider.
- Gift Vouchers are non-refundable once issued. They may be transferred to another person upon written request.
- Refund requests must be submitted in writing to freshersdrivingschool@gmail.com. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days.
Student Conduct
- Students must not attend a lesson under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any impairing substance. The instructor may terminate the lesson immediately and the full fee will be forfeited.
- Students must follow all reasonable instructions given by the driving instructor during the lesson.
- Abusive, threatening or disrespectful behaviour toward instructors will result in immediate termination of the lesson and the booking relationship without refund.
Liability
- All Freshers Driving School vehicles are fully insured. The student is not personally liable for vehicle damage during a lesson, except in cases of gross negligence or deliberate misconduct.
- The School accepts no liability for any loss, injury or damage arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
- These terms were last updated in May 2025. Freshers Driving School reserves the right to amend these terms at any time.
