Are you a University of Melbourne student looking for a driving school near University of Melbourne? Freshers Driving School is based at 487 Cardigan Street, Carlton — a 5-minute walk from the University of Melbourne Parkville campus. Driving lessons from $68, 7 days a week.

Why University of Melbourne Students Choose Freshers

University of Melbourne students have specific needs when it comes to driving lessons. Many are first-time drivers from interstate or overseas. International students from China, India, Malaysia, Singapore, the USA or UK often hold a licence from their home country and need either a direct VicRoads conversion or a full Victorian licence.

International Students at UniMelb — Overseas Licence Conversion

The University of Melbourne enrolls over 20,000 international students annually from more than 150 countries. If you arrived in Australia with a valid overseas licence, you may be eligible to convert it directly to a Victorian licence at a VicRoads Customer Service Centre — or you may need to complete a practical drive test. Either way, targeted driving lessons with Freshers will prepare you for Victorian road rules, Melbourne traffic conditions, tram priority rules and VicRoads assessment criteria. Our Parkville and Carlton instructors have helped hundreds of UniMelb international students convert their overseas licence. See our full overseas licence conversion guide.
